The moorings and anchoring area have been completely re-organised this year due to extensive pressure from the Crown Commission and W.H.A.M.  This has been a very expensive exercise paid for by the existing mooring holders, loans and matched grants.  The result is that visiting boats must pay a nightly charge for the moorings or find a place in the anchoring area.  The cost is going to be £10 per night or £7.50 for boats under 25ft.  It is hoped that this charge will come down as the loans are paid off, however, there will probably always now be a charge, as the moorings must be well maintained and insured.
